Just some drawings of the original cast of the Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993, to (kinda) celebrate the movie's 20th Anniversary a few days back. So yeah, Bob Hoskins as Mario, John Leguiziamo as Luigi, Samantha Mathis as Daisy and the late Dennis Hopper as President Koopa.
Is this movie bad? You bet it is. But it's so bad, it loops all the way around to Awesome again.
This was originally going to be a surprise instalment of the Year of Mario series, but it's not a game and doesn't fit in with the Mario chronology... anywhere. It's supposed to be an origin story but it's totally inaccurate to what was established in the games. But whatever.
Also if you haven't heard, it took 20 years but this movie's cliffhanger ending is finally being resolved in an *official* sequel comic (co-written by Parker Bennet, one of the film's writers). Look it up now or I'll de-evolve you.

Also, it's great that you know about the sequel comic. I'm very excited about that project!
