From today I will be going on a road trip and I won't have my drawing equipment with me as I travel. This means there will be no new artworks or comic pages posted in the interim.

In regard to recent pages being Twitter/Bluesky exclusive, this is because they contain sex scenes and DeviantArt will not allow it on their website unless I lock it to a paid gallery. I do not wish to monetize my art so for now, there is nothing I can do about that. I've seen a couple of responses of people having difficulty seeing this content. As these pages contain adult content, you may need an account and to enable adult content in your settings for Twitter/Bluesky. Once again, I apologize but there's not much else I can do in this situation. All pages for the foreseeable future will be DA safe. In regards to the comic, I'm considering taking a break from Zelda after the Ocarina of Time arc concludes. Similar to my break in the middle of Rosalina and the Prankster Comet. Basically Zelda will be on hiatus for a month or two. I would like to use this time to launch a new anthology comic focused on original characters. This comic will act as a creative outlet for short stories, 4-5 pages each, that I just revisit from time to time to explore a quick weight gain/feedism concept. It will NOT be my main focus. It has no beginning, middle, or end. I just contribute to it when I feel like it. Zelda is still my main project.

The new comic will be set in a modern urban setting and touch on the lives of random people in a society where the "battle of the bulge" is considered a lost cause, the population is getting fatter and the culture shifts to accept and even celebrate fatness. I don't have a title yet, but I'm thinking something like "Tales of Obe-city" or just "Obe-city". The pun isn't very subtle but I'm open to pitches. I hope you like what you hear because I have a lot of cute short stories to tell in this world. Anyway, that's about all I have to share with you today. Thanks for reading if you got this far.

Small update

1 min read

Hello, as you might have noticed there was no new page last week. This is because I was working on a small collab that was meant to be released this weekend. However the project has seen some unforeseen delays. It's nobody's fault, these things happen. My contribution has been fulfilled and the rest of the work is out of my hands.

But I have a new pinup that should be ready soon that should hopefully make up for the comic delay. Thanks for the patience!

Hello everyone. As you all know by now, my debut comic Rosalina and the Prankster Comet has concluded. But I felt like shedding some light on the history and the development of the comic into what it became, and what it might mean for future comics.

First off, my start in fat fetish art was nurtured by Kipteitei and their No Lunch Break comic. I was always closeted about my preference for this kind of stuff so I initially enjoyed the comic anonymously. However, early on I decided to colorize a couple of pages for fun, and before I knew it I had colored the first 30 pages or so. I was uploading the colorized pages anonymously to BBWchan at the time and I got a lot of positive feedback, and eventually I was encouraged to show my work to Kip personally. Kip responded to my work with overwhelming support and even offered financial compensation for it, so I accepted the job and went on to colorize the entire 200+ page comic, which was released over time on Kip's Patreon.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 I was an essential worker, but an outbreak at work forced the company to close down for several weeks. With the extra time on my hands I took a stab at drawing some of my own fat art. I drew lots of Rosalina because she's always been one of my favorite characters, and I wanted to see more fat art of her. Eventually, as my Twitter page really started to take off I decided I wanted to take a stab making my own long form comic starring Rosalina. Having spent a lot of time colorizing No Lunch Break I felt like I had a good understanding of the medium, and to say that my work is heavily influenced by Kip is an understatement. But I also wanted my comic to have its own identity, and not just be a ripoff of Kip's work. Kip's comics are less about weight gain and are more or less a slice of life romance story with feedist themes thrown in. I wanted to do the opposite- a comic focused on weight gain and feedism, with the romance stuff taking a backseat. I think this is reflected in the finished comic- the romantic subplot between Rosalina and Peach is VERY subtle until the end where they finally get together. The story focuses on our characters facing the driving conflict of the story- the Prankster Comet that is causing them to gain weight.

When coming up with the plot of the comic, I wanted a story that stayed true to the source material. This was easier said than done since Mario lore isn't really consistent and changes from game to game. But since this was a Rosalina focused-story, it felt right to base the lore from her debut game Super Mario Galaxy. In the game Rosalina's role is a maternal one to the Lumas, it's her personal duty to guide them to their future home and act as a mother for them. She's motivated by her own loss, having lost her own mother she doesn't want the star creatures to be parentless and homeless. By helping them, she's making up for her own lost childhood. The game also featured events triggered by Prankster Comets. This causes things to change in a level, like enemy behaviour or Mario's life meter. So it made sense for me to come up with a Prankster Comet that makes you hungry as the plot device. Prankster Comets are born from Lumas so that allowed me to come up with a backstory that Rosalina had overfed a Luma some time ago, and that's how we're left with a new Prankster Comet that has inherited the traits of the Luma it came from.

Shockingly, Rosalina does not have feedist tendencies in actual Mario games. This is a product of my own invention. Every story needs a conflict to drive it. So with what I came up with, Rosalina's conflict with herself. In the story she's doomed to gain absurd amounts of weight no matter what she tries, but if she embraces it from the beginning there's no story to tell. If the whole point of the comic is "character gets fat" that's not a comic, that's just a weight gain sequence. There has to be some nuance in the storytelling. So in my mind she had to resist the weight gain at first and warm up to it over time. The comic would end when she embraces her real feelings. In retrospect I understand if some people were frustrated by this approach, expecting Rosalina to embrace the weight gain earlier so they can enjoy the WG fetish content. But I firmly believe that Rosalina's character arc should not be undercooked. Without a conflict, there is no story. I knew people might dislike this direction, so I made a point to include a lot of cameo appearances from other characters from across the Mario series. These characters would be further along in their weight gain than Rosalina so readers would still have fetish material to latch on to throughout the comic.

One well-known rule in creative writing is to 'kill your darlings'- to sacrifice certain scenes and moments if their presence interrupts or generally worsens the story overall. In this case, I can say that I had to kill a lot of darlings in Prankster Comet. After page 40, it became obvious that if I kept on with the current pace of the comic it would be too long and dragged out for its own good. This demanded rewrites, which is why the comic took a small hiatus around that time. There were also some more NSFW scenes that I wanted to include but decided against, because I'm still uneasy about sharing borderline pornographic content and potentially getting banned from the websites I post to. I also wanted to err on the side of tastefulness and didn't want to include anything too dirty. In the end, many scenes were trimmed down or cut completely. The montage of the girls playing sports trying to keep fit was not supposed to be a montage. Each sport was going to be have its own scene spanning multiple pages, similar to the girls' day out a couple pages earlier. There was also going to be a scene in which Rosalina discovers that Peach was cheating on her diet while also pleasuring herself. When Rosalina confronted Peach about this, Peach encouraged Rosalina to give it a try for herself. She refused to do so to Peach, but tried it later in private. This scene got sanitized and became the scene where Rosalina pigs out on the chocolates that Peach made for the Lumas. We were also going to see more of Merelda and Shokora. While they were going to be mostly background characters they were going to show up more often have a yuri sideplot, this was mostly cut and all that remained was their reappearance at the end of the comic. I could go on more about what was left on the cutting room floor, but I digress.

Another thing I can safely say about the comic is the evolution of my art style over time. Some pages look better than others throughout and there's a lot of panels that make me cringe in retrospect but overall I can say I'm happy with the improvement in my drawing skills from Page 1 to Page 100. With that said I know there is still a lot of room for improvement in my art and will continue to hone my skills. While Prankster Comet has concluded, Rosalina's story had not. I already have a sequel planned out and I'm excited to share it one day. Rosalina is fully on-board with gaining now, so the story will revolve around her pursuit of that goal, and what she's willing to do to achieve it. There's also more to be explored with her newly rekindled relationship with Lubba. I've already hidden the title of the comic somewhere for people to find. I'm also very excited about my new Zelda comic and I hope the Prankster Comet crowd sticks around for it. Obviously, there's more to Zelda's story than I am currently letting on, with it being a time travel you should expect things to get WEIRD. There's a non-zero possibility that there's more than vanilla WG fetish content in this one, and even story-wise there's going to be events that you won't expect. Thanks for reading this, hope you'll stick around!

Hi everyone! At this stage in time my comic Rosalina and the Prankster Comet is reaching its conclusion. I expect the project to be complete in about a month's time.

At the time of writing I have just posted page 93, and while I would love to show you more of Rosalina and Peach's time in space, it would be too spicy for DeviantArt and maybe even Twitter, so the scene will unfortunately have to skip ahead a little in the next page. Maybe in the future I'll be able to find a way to release the sex scene in a way that doesn't risk getting any accounts suspended, but for now the best I can do is move on to the next scene. Fundamentally, the story is over at this point but there's a few plot threads to tie up before ending it, so while the final pages from here on in will be light on fetish content I hope you'll stick around for the conclusion of the Prankster Comet arc of Rosalina's journey. In related news, I'm happy to announce that I'm working on a new comic set in the world of Hyrule- Zelda: A Tear in Time & Trousers is an all-new WG comic that will begin in the near future, probably not long after Prankster Comet ends. This comic will feature characters from all over the Zelda timeline but will focus primarily on Zelda from Breath of the Wild and it takes place six years after the events of said game. While weight gain is the main focus of the comic, there *may* be more than meets the eye. I hope you'll look forward to seeing what I've cooked up.

Newgrounds

2 min read

Hey all. As you may know, I mostly use Twitter as the main platform for sharing my art. You might also know that Twitter could just disappear off the face of the earth any day now, so I'm preparing for the worst. Yesterday I created an account on Newgrounds and I've uploaded 70 artworks so far. Many of these were previously exclusive to Twitter so now all the folks who won't touch Twitter on principle have a way to view my art.

Now you might be asking "why not just post everything here on DA" and that's a good question, but the answer is a complex one for me. The short and skinny of it all is that I'm just not very fond of DA, and uploading NSFW content here sometimes feels like playing Russian Roulette. It has a large user base though and many niche fetish communities so I still use it as a way to direct people to my preferred platforms. Currently that remains to be Twitter and I will continue posting there regularly until Mr. Musk presses the proverbial killswitch. If you have a Newgrounds account I'd appreciate a follow over there. I'm starting from zero again, after all. If not then that's fine! I'm not leaving DA and I'll still be uploading Prankster Comet pages here. (new pages coming today!) I'll just leave you with a link to my Newgrounds and see what happens. Thanks for reading! https://emeffy.newgrounds.com/
